Leading tool to win the book sales R.A.C.E

If you’ve been following my blog over the last 3 weeks, you’ve been seeing all the great writing advice offered by Alinka Rutkowska, Mulit-Award Winning, #1 International Best-Selling Author. This next piece of advise is about her self-publishing course. I’ve taken the course, and it is incredible and a life-changing experience for me to be able to go on to be a confident self-published author knowing I have all the right tools. Here’s more from Alinka about why you need this self-publishing tool:

Have you met Jane? She’s an author too. When she first published her book she was dreaming of her name on the New York Times Best-seller list, because she knew that what she wrote can change her readers’ lives.

She was giddy with excitement when she first saw her name and her cover available on Amazon. “This is my big break,” she thought.

She was checking her sales dashboard and she couldn’t believe her eyes. One day had already passed and she didn’t make a single sale. She emailed her publisher to ask if the system was working. And her heart sank when she got the reply. The system was tracking correctly.

She still didn’t believe it so she bought her own book herself. And there it was: 1 sale on her dashboard.

But Jane wasn’t easily discouraged.

She woke up the next day with new hope in her heart. She logged into her dashboard and there it was again: 1 sale – her own.

While Jane’s hopes of landing on the NYT list faded, her determination to get her message into the hands of readers who need it, did not.

She started hunting the net for tips on book marketing and she was overwhelmed by what she found: “try blogging, join Facebook groups, join Tweet teams, create merchandise, join a forum, create an RSS feed, create a YouTube channel, make a book trailer, donate your books…”

Jane did ALL of it. She spent $2,000 on the book trailer, another $2,000 on merchandise related to her book and she donated $1,000 of her books.

She also realized that 6 months had passed and she sold 131 copies, making $262 in royalties.

She was $4,738 in the red and ready to call it quits.

She never told anybody about this because she was ashamed.

She didn’t want her family and friends to see her as a failure. She was a writer after all, an educated smart woman. How could this be happening to her?

She failed at reaching the NYT best-selling list. She failed at fulfilling her lifelong dream of making a career as an author. She even failed at making a return on her book marketing investment!

She felt miserable and borderline depressed… and puzzled how other authors whose books were no better than hers…were actually making a great living as authors!

Is it possible that Jane might be…you?

If so, you must hear about R.A.C.E.

Because R.A.C.E. is what will pull you out of this swamp of author mediocrity.

If you’ve participated in the 5-Figure Author Challenge, you’ve already got the R.

R=Reach

This is the first step to winning the author race.

It means that you need to reach your readers. Before they can form a lifelong relationship with you, they need to know you exist. And there are ways to do it right and ways to completely bomb it.

Reaching is like walking into a bar and making eye contact with that stunning individual that takes your breath away.

If you’ve been paying attention during the challenge, you know what type of romance works best to seduce your readers.

But that won’t get you anywhere near your full potential as an author.

What you need now is the A, C and E.

A=Acquire

Once that stunning individual from the bar looks you deeply in the eyes for one second too long, your next goal is to get their number (or have them come over and get yours).

That’s what acquire stands for.

Once readers know that you exist, you want a way to keep seducing them, because if you fail here, it’s game over.

C=Convert

This is a huge milestone that will completely change your relationship with your reader. In our bar situation, this is when you get to first base.

Now remember, the steps that lead to this are crucial. You can’t just kiss a stranger and expect to get anything more than a hard slap in the face. But if you go through steps R and A, C is where you start reaping rewards.

E=Engage

This is the culmination of the R.A.C.E. methodology. This is where you marry your stunning individual from the bar, or in other words, this is when that casual reader who had no idea who you were a few steps ago is now your hard-core true fan.

A true fan is someone who will plow through a snow storm for 3 hours barefoot just to see you. Just like a true love.

So now that you know all this, how do you win the book sales R.A.C.E?

Easy, you just follow this system http://authorremake.com/race/?ref=11 which has transformed struggling writers like Jane into profitable authors who make a full time living from their books.
